REXQ Africa is a digital safety and emergency response ecosystem that connects people, assets, emergency contacts, responders, ambulances, hospitals, insurance providers and other relevant services to support faster and more coordinated emergency response.

REXQ allows users to SCAN, TAP or PRESS SOS to initiate an emergency alert. Available information such as the user's identity, emergency contacts and location can then be shared with designated recipients and connected response channels.

A Good Samaritan, responder or authorised person can scan or tap the device to access available emergency identification information and initiate the appropriate REXQ emergency workflow.

You can own and register as many REXQ Smart Safety-ID Devices and Wearables as you need. Multiple devices can be linked to your REXQ account for different personal, family, occupational, vehicle or safety requirements.

The QR/NFC identification functions of compatible REXQ wearables do not require batteries or charging. Specific electronic smart devices may, however, have their own power requirements.

The REXQ SOS Mobile App is the Android/iOS platform for SOS alerts, location sharing, emergency contacts, emergency information and other REXQ safety services.

Depending on the product and your settings, an emergency alert can be sent to your registered emergency contacts and relevant connected response channels. The actual response available depends on the services and responders connected to the REXQ system.

REXQ is designed to connect emergency information and alerts with relevant response channels. Ambulance availability and dispatch depend on the location, available providers, network connectivity and applicable emergency-response arrangements.

Yes. Your REXQ Smart Safety-ID Device or Wearable can provide authorised access to available identification and emergency information, subject to the information you have registered and applicable privacy and access controls.

Where location services, device capabilities and network connectivity are available, REXQ can share available location information as part of an emergency alert or response workflow.

Yes. REXQ Asset ID & Recovery solutions can be attached to or associated with phones, laptops, keys, wallets, bags, luggage, equipment and other valuable assets to support identification and recovery when an item is found.

The finder can scan the item's REXQ ID and follow the available recovery process. The registered owner can receive an alert through supported notification channels without unnecessarily exposing sensitive personal information.

REXQ is designed to provide controlled access to relevant information rather than publicly displaying all user information. The information available through an Emergency ID depends on the user's registration, applicable access controls and the emergency workflow.

Every emergency alert triggered from your REXQ Smart Safety-ID Device or Wearable is also sent to the registered holder, in addition to the designated emergency contacts.

If a device is lost, compromised or suspected to be misused, you can block or deactivate the affected device through the REXQ Super App, helping prevent further unauthorised use.

Each eligible REXQ QR/ID comes with a specified number of Emergency Alerts, currently 10 alerts per QR/ID, subject to the applicable product terms.

You can top up your Emergency Alerts through the available REXQ top-up channel so that your existing REXQ ID, wearable, device or app account can continue to be used.

You do not necessarily need to replace the physical device simply because your alert balance has been exhausted.

If you face an immediate life-threatening emergency and your REXQ alert balance has been exhausted, do not delay seeking help. Use available local emergency services or other emergency communication channels while restoring your REXQ alert balance.

REXQ is being designed to support both online and offline emergency communication. Online services may use the mobile app and internet connectivity, while USSD and IVR-based emergency access are part of the offline/low-connectivity service roadmap, subject to network availability.

REXQ is not a telecommunications network provider. Alerts travel over third-party networks and channels such as SMS, email, WhatsApp and mobile data, so alert delivery is guaranteed only subject to network availability.

When a Good Samaritan, emergency responder or authorised healthcare personnel scans or taps your REXQ Smart Safety-ID Device or Wearable, the system can display a notification confirming that the victim has valid Emergency Insurance Coverage, subject to the applicable policy status and verification requirements.

No. Insurance confirmation and treatment approval are separate processes.

The REXQ notification can confirm that applicable Emergency Insurance Coverage exists and is valid. It does not automatically authorise treatment, guarantee payment or replace the insurer's or healthcare provider's required approval process.

The relevant insurer, healthcare provider or authorised assistance channel may still need to verify the emergency, treatment eligibility, policy terms and applicable coverage limits.

REXQ offers Emergency Care & Protection solutions that eligible users can pair with optional micro, pay-as-you-go emergency insurance. Cover includes emergency medical stabilisation of up to ₦200,000 for the holder, ₦1 million for permanent disability and ₦1 million for death, subject to product terms and eligibility.

Where REXQ is made aware of such a demand, it may offer the hospital an Emergency Credit Guarantee of up to ₦200,000, so treatment can begin without delay and the victim's life is not put at risk. The insurer then reimburses REXQ after proper documentation and verification.

No. REXQ is designed to connect and support emergency communication and response, not replace statutory emergency services. It can complement existing emergency channels by helping identify people, communicate relevant information, share available location data and connect appropriate parties.
